Hi. I am considering switching the short DX arm I bought with my Sea & Sea YS-25 Auto for a more functional arm set. I have looked at the ones S&S makes as well as ULCS. The camera is a Canon A620 in the Canon WP-DC90 housing.

I am leaning towards the ULCS set- more versatile but would like some opinions as well as comments if there are other that some like. Also thoughts on dealers.

Thanks a lot.

I use ULCS tray/arms. I like em because they are (as the name implies) quite light. They are kinda pricey but what isn't in UW photog.

My top two arm choices would be locline and ULCS.

Locline = inexpensive, supremely flexible, easy care, easy to move around uw (I often pop a section off so I can get my strobe in a hole or ledge)

ULCS = excellent quality, very light, good selection of sections to choose from, strong and stable, fairly expensive

I'm with alcina. I like the locline arms as well as they are very easy to position underwater. I've never tried popping it off for use in those tight nooks and crannies although I now wish I had on my last trip.

Biggest thing I don't like about locline, they are VERY noisy when you move them to a new position, which does scare fish! I had them on my video lights, but went with ULCS on my camera setup. I got mine from Ryan @ Reefphoto.com also.

You need to dive where the fish are more mellow, Dude! They do make noise - but then your buddy knows you're still kickin'!
