Hi folks.

I have a Scubpro BC that I haven't used for a year or so. I filled it wih air through the manual fill tube and found that it has a leak at the bottom, where there is a schreader valve for a CO2 cartridge fill kit. The valve is completely separated from the BC material, and falls inside the BC if the cap is unscrewed.

It leaks when I put pressure on the expanded BC, but doesn't really leak air much when it is in the water, since it is at the bottom of the BC.

Is there a sealant I can use to re-seal the valve seat? Seems like a common silicone sealant might work. Anyone ever seal holes in a BC before? Thanks in advance - Tim

If the valve falls completely off, sounds like you have a 'big leak' area. I'd consider replacing the bladder instead of trying to patch a big leak. You'd hate for it to fail during a dive when you actually needed floatation for something.
