The screw threads on the lens are secure, but I'm betting it will be an issue changing the wet lens with gloves on....lots of turning and alignment needs to be precise

Any one know of a bayonet adapter that could be used?

Any possibility that the Recsea Quick Release UWL-04 M52 Mount Adapter might work (didn't FIX and Recsea get their housings built by the same machine shop??)

Would any extra hardware change the focal point?

(BTW...based on all of the complaints posted regarding other housings, I couldn't be more pleased with the functionality of the FIX (I'm sure Recsea would be same)....full access to all controls, easy to use, good button tactility....and once CHDK is loaded, essentially full manual control with TTL and superfine resolution/.dng raw)

The current Recsea is made by the same company that made the original FIX. I believe it is Japanese made, which if so is a good thing.

Any extra hardware that moves the lens forward will negatively impact the operation.

If you had wanted bayonet mount then the Inon UFL165AD with appropriate adapters may have been a better choice. Yes, all of the threading on and off is a lot of wear and tear and not so easy to do, at least for me.

I think Bluewater Photo may have an adapter set that will work for you.

Bluewater should sell the dyron quick release

As you are in USA I would definitely buy it there instead of gong through customs
I would also consider buying two of those and a diopter M52 like the epoque one that is strong and good value for money
At least then you have two interchangeable lenses and one quick release mount

Thanks...in retrospect Inon would have been better choice, but I have the Fisheye

I'll reach out to the dealer as to his thoughts on fit and impact on field of view etc

Dead issue- response from both Bluewater and Reef indicates incompatibility. Oh well, I'll deal with screw threads (there are worse things in life)
