I already have 2 Inon 165AD mount lenses and would like to use them with my new Fix S100 housing. The housing comes with 2 adapter rings: the housing to 67mm thread and the housing to 52mm thread. I need to buy an AD mount adapter to work with either of the rings. Do I buy the Fish Eye Fix adapter for $100 (part: ADF-M52) OR do I buy the 10 Bar adapter for $20 (or less) (part: ADF-M67)? Was not sure if it mattered which one I bought.

Also can I use the Inon UWL-105AD with either adapter?

Thanks!

The two adapters are different hence the price difference
The fix allows adjustment of the hood position for the UFL165
The 10bar instead does not so it is only suitable for the UCL165 and UWL105
The adapters only differ in the part that screws onto the port, the front is exactly the same

Karen:

I have a FIX housing for the Canon S100. As I've added lens, wide angle and close-up, I call Reef Photo who sold the set up to me and they have walked me through exactly what I needed in terms of adaptors, etc. Not sure where you bought yours, but that is why I chose to buy from Reef...great customer service. Also, if it what they recommend doesn't work just right, exchanges are easy, though it only happened once and was more my fault then theirs.
I do get great advice reading Interceptor's posts as well.

Thanks. I wasn't clear in my original post. The 2 lenses I have are the UCL-165AD stackable lenses. I don't have the UFL-165AD. I planned to give Reef a call this morning as I knew they would be the most helpful. Reef sells both the 10bar and the fix adapter. If either will work for me, I will go with the cheaper 10bar.

Has anyone had any problems with the adapters being too shallow? I read on a post that the glass from the screw on lens butts right up against the front of the housing glass.

It happens on M67 threads may or not happen with 52mm fix in any case for diopters you can use this if the lens crashes in the glass
Inon AD Mount Converter for UCL-165AD [ino.456212143231] - $16.95 : Reef Photo & Video!, The Underwater Photo Pros
For wide angle this solution is not good as there is too much distance and you end up with soft corners and blur

I would ask reefphoto if the 10bar works or not and if not you can get the inon 28AD to AD converter
