hi
i am wanting to change the harness on my halcyon eclipse to an adjustable harness that can still use the halcyon integrated weights, ie oms comfort harness , dive rite ,custom divers , if anyone has expierience of this your advice would be appreciated.

You should be able to no problem , just make sure the one you get still has the traditional 2inch webbing instead of a cumberbum. Now why would you want to the harness you have now is fully adjustable.

harness is ok but sometimes you just want to pull it in for a better fit,and is a bit easier to get off
thanks

Sorry, I can't resist this!! But this is just DOING IT WRONG! ;)

Seriously, though. You should have no problems switching the harness.

some say do it right, some say just do it, some say less is more some, some say less just costs more, it all about your own perspective. thanks but which harness ?

The camband slots on my Pioneer wing don't line up with the camband slots on my Trans-Pac II harness.

So that might not be one of your options. An STA would fix that though.

FWIW My Transpac only sees pool use now. All open water is with BP and Wing.

Don't do it, Big#2. You'll die. ;)

Putting an OMS comfort harness on a Halcyon eclipse is a stroketastrophe waiting to happen.

OTOH, if you insist, its easy to do - simply buy whichever convoluted abortion strikes your fancy and thread the webbing through the slots. Takes about 10 minutes. :D

The DSS Pro-Fit harness that Stephen posted is very nice. Great hardware on it and it's very adjustable. You can cross or uncross the straps depending on what you like, too. I find the bent rings incredibly easy to clip stuff to.

One thing some folks don't seem to like is that it is rather soft webbing. I liked that a lot a couple weeks ago when I was diving it with nothing but swim trunks in Cozumel.

Of course, I'm just a weenie DIW strokey recreational diver...how I've survived this long is anyone's guess ;)
