hi i have just got a fisheye inon [165 AD] baynet mount lens for my recsea S95 housing ive noticed i have to zoom in a little or i get a lot vignetting, in fact at its widest setting i have a ugly square around the frame, zoom in a bit and i get the edges of the lens hood in the picture, it takes another zoom to have a decent enough photo [still have tiny bit of black at some part of photo but that is easy to get rid of in PS] does anyone else have this problem

The S95 has got a 28mm lens while the UFL165 is designed for 35mm so it will vignette this is normal
You need to set the step zoom to 35 mm
Besides the lens is not meant to be used in air but just in water
If you want a lens that does not produce vignette you need something that is designed for 28mm
What mount do you have for the housing to attach the lens?

I have the same rig and if you zoom to 35mm there should not be anything showing other than the full scene. Use the camera's step zoom function to ensure you are zooming to 35mm. Make sure the lens is correctly aligned so that the lager "petals" of the lens hood are top and bottom. What adapter are you using?

The dyron is cheaper anyway if you got it somewhere in Japan it's ok

Did you have the lens from a previous set up?

yes got it from japan and yes it was expensive, so i take it apart from the price there is no difference between the two?

just bought the fisheye inon second hand...i have the inon WA and a macro, then saw the fisheye come up on ebay, ony used it under water once and even then not for too long as battery on camera went [was trying out new drysuit so wasnt too bothered about photos but plan to give it a good try out this sunday

I don't think so the fisheye is made of 3 parts not sure if that makes it easier to adjust or to get closer to the port
Where are you going diving on Sunday? It is freezing cold right now I was planning to go to Selsey but I am not
Do you have a caddy for the lens?
