Been looking for a Ultra wide / fisheye, and there are 2 which might shuit the fray. Nikon 16mm and the Sigma 15mm. I see on the net alot of people are very happy with the sigma, in terms of quality, and the substantial price difference.

Any views ?

Hello,

I think your looking at this all wrong. If you are looking for the better of the 2 then you should get the nikon. If your looking for optical distrortion then the question should be different.

Fisheye's underwater leaves much to be desired anyways.

Thanks, but I would appreciate some more elaboration. I have been looking at rectelinear lenses, but they are so expensive.....

I would love to do wide without distortion, but ........... you are looking at lenses around $1500 which is alot for a hobbist

Hello,

Rect lens are not that expensive. Maybe the MSRP. I know this lens is awsome.

B&H

And it's $800.
