How well does a wide angle wet lens work on the a570 without a strobe? I want to try to avoid a large rig and want to know if there is any point to adding a wide angle lens without a strobe. Thanks in advance.

Well, it works great. A fisheye type lens like the Inon 165AD or the Inon 100 plus dome or the Fisheye, er, fisheye UWL-04 should all do fine without a strobe. Which one you get depends on which housing you have and your pocket book limitations, if any.

Even a 100WAL without dome, Ikelite w20 or Inon 105AD again depending on housing will do very well without a strobe.

Wide angle lenses see a lot of area, gather a lot of light, I think they are easier to do natural light photography with, JMO.

In fact, the avatar pic was taken with an A570 and Inon 165AD, natural light only.
