Came across a few of these fish today at a site off the east coast of UAE we call Car Cemetery (Gulf of Oman)

There were 20 or so that were like this



Size wise around 5cm / 2 inches there were a couple that had slightly different markings that I assume might be males, did not really get a good shot of one though, this is the best I managed

eye not in focus but should be fine for an ID



I am thinking some type of Damselfish
 
A marine biologist friend of mine has identified them as damselfish, Neopomacentrus cyanomos
