I took this picture at Anne's Paradise Reef near Grand Bahamas. The closest I could find in my picture ID book is a bandtail puffer, but this particular fish doesn't have bands on its tail.

Any ideas on what this could be?

It is a Sharpnose puffer Canthigaster rostrata, there is a chance it could also be a Goldfaced Toby Canthigaster jamestyleri. But based on the dorsal coloration I would lean towards Sharpnose, hard to tell without a shot from the side.

I'm inclined to agree with it most likely being a sharp nose puffer based on that photo.

agreed

Thanks :)
