Perhaps rants against spearfishing could be included in another thread in another forum title *Spearfishing - NO!*

What devices are you using to harvest fish???

I go to VONS.

The real issue for me is What are you going to do with these harvested fish?? I personal think spear gunning is over rated has WAY more drawbacks than benefits.

HAPPY THOUGHTS

ok

There are people that harvest fish for their Aquariums with slurp guns.

There is the large pot that a lobsters and a few clams would add just the right amount of flavor.

There is the certificate and patch or a World Record..

I personal enjoy the battle of wills that the hook and line offers.

ooh better stop here will go and check my arsenal next to my scuba gear bag...

Can't beat them join them

Hi I only spear flounder! So I made a pole spear.
I used 3/8 stainless steel tubing about 5 feet long.
I bent a 90 degree by 5 inch hook in one end.
and tapped out the other end so i can screw in a 3/8 by whatever the trident head bolt size is cant remember!
It works great I use the hook end to get lobsters out of holes.
and the trident end for flounders! You wouldn't believe some
of the holes ive gotten lobster out of with this method!
I shine my flashlight on them work the spear hook behind them.
When they feel the hook hit there tail 90 percent of the time
they spin around and swim into my direction!! Then I grab em!!
It also works as a cane getting in and out of the water.

When using the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, thou shalt count to three.

Three is the number thou shall count to and then throwest the Holy Hand Grenade at thine enemies.

Thou shalt not stop at 2, unless continuing to three

Four is right out

(and don't get me started on the Dead Parrot sketch)

54"Biller S/S or 48"JBL .Custom 5'clear plexiglass tickle stick for lobster. My friends mostly spearfish and lobster. Most use Biller, some JBL ,only 1 uses a Riffe(open muzzle makes for slow reloading)1 guy uses one of the Italian wonders(pnuematic)but rarely gets big fish at depth with it.
