Please let me know what you think... As long as it's all good! ;)

I have about 12 dives with mine and aren't getting any shots this good. How are you handling the white balance- setting it yourself or using one of the presets?

Well, I used shutter speed priority at 1/125 as I was not really familiar with full manual mode. (Thanks alcina for all of your informative stickys! I couldn't have done it without ya'!) As far as white balance is concerned, I used a variety of different settings. Some shots were set at Auto, some were Underwater, and a few were set against the sandy bottom. I in my rush to get in the water I had forgotten my dive slate which I had planned to use for white balance calibration! :11doh:

Most of the shots I posted were untouched except for shrinking the file size. I used Elements to auto-adjust the color on a couple. The color is more realistic, but it takes away from the smoothness of the original. Next time I won't forget the slate!! :lotsalove:

I see that you are finally taking the new toy for a spin. Great shots for a first timer (my first never come out half as good)! A620 is really a great camera that can produce some fantastic results. I am sure you will have a lot of fun with it (I sure do).

Thanks for commenting YCW! I appreciate the encouragement.

I had unusually good visibility this weekend and a lot of natural light.

The camera is pretty quick (focus and shoot) and that is nice. It also can focus extremely close to the lens. I have a shot where the focus actually locked on some fibers on the inside of the housing!! (Which wasn't the intended shot but interesting none the less!) That is a close focusing macro setting!

The best shots were the available light shots. The camera did a good job with aperature adjustment. I had locked the shutter speed at 1/125.

All in all I was very pleased for the first time out...
