first trip to roatan

Reef House resort is east from the airport (about 45 minutes) and at the end of the road. You take a little boat, 5 minute ride, from the village of Oak Ridge. It's a laid back place where everyone eats together. There is not much other dive traffic except possibly at Calvin's Crack. (Nice dive.) The rooms are much more basic than Fantasy Island, but you have the feeling you're visiting a friend's beach house. When we were there the co-owner manager was Mike and he did a great job of welcoming people. Dive master was very good at finding little critters. On the other hand we've been to FIBR 20 times. It's a different atmosphere, facilities are nicer, lots more people around. FIBR is much closer to the airport and those dive sites Mary's PLace, Valley of the Kings, 40' Point. Look over their websites and see which kind of atmosphere you would like for this trip.

I will be in RTB Jan 16th thru the 30th. I have dove with Sueno and had good and bad experiences....one thing to keep an eye on is there tank O-rings we blew like 5 out of 10 tanks in 1 trip!! Hope to run in to you..I spend allot of time in the Blue Parrott in the evenings.
