Hi all,
Well yesterday was an experience! Got up at 4:15 and with the wife, a couple of buddies headed toward Ventura to board the Spectre. We were about 10 minutes away when we got a call that the trip had been cancelled, supposedly due to rough weather at Anacapa and Santa Cruz. We figured they didn't fill up the boat.
So, we called Catalina Express and damn near flew to Long Beach to catch the 8:30 to Avalon. Everyone swore that Linda should be given a NASCAR license! But we made it in one piece.
Arriving, I took my 10th and 11th dives ever. During the 10th I water/pressure tested the Canon housing for my A640. Checked out fine, so on the 11th, I put in the camera and proceeded to take my first ever underwater photos.
Before I get to those, I want to thank Alcina a thousand and one times!!!! Without your wonderful article in the Tips & Techniques forum I'd have had no clue how to do this. Yeah, I know I have lots of work to do to get good at it (it'll definitely be a labor of love!), but you got me off to a good start.
I ran them through photoshop last night before passing out from the long day. So, here ya go...
