A group of buddies and I are looking at renting a place for a week+ in the keys after all the kids go back to school. I have a lot of experience with Hawaiin slings but not so much with rail guns. Need some recommendations from you guys on the following:

1) Decent guide/shop in the area

2) Which Key? Largo? West?

3) Best time to go? We are looking for the pace to be a little slower so we were thinking about late September when everyone else has to go back to school/work/etc..

Currently the plan is to fly into Miami and dive the SG before renting a couple of vans and heading south.

Any input is greatly appreciated!

Cheers,
Kevin

Just be prepared to evacuate if a hurricane comes thru that late in the summer. Otherwise its very uncrowded.

Mike runs an awesome shop just before Key West, he can hook you up with all the gear, charters, tank fills whatever.

Ask for Mike, tell him Charlie sent you.

Thanks for the link! Hurricanes are a worry for sure. Hopefully the weather will hold out for us :D
