Here are some photos I took over my New Years Trip to Negril, Jamaica.

I am a complete noob to UW photography and still somewhat noobish when it comes to diving. With that in mind, I spent some cash on an Olympus E-PL1 (w/ stock 14-42mm lens) and PT-EP01 housing. Due to costs, I thought I would skip out on the other bells and whistles (WA/Macro lenses, strobes...) and focus simply on getting used to having the camera under water and taking simple pictures.

All and all, I'm quite satisfied with the results. I learned pretty quickly to calm down when taking pictures of things I think are interesting... On my first dive with the camera, I burnt through my tank like I was running a marathon down there!!..

Unfortunately, during the trip, I switched the file format to Jpeg from RAW and forgot to set it back, so all my UW photos were JPEGs that I could only minimally modify.

Link to photos is in my signature.

OP -- you can do a LOT of processing of JPEG files, including color correction. Don't let anyone fool you that RAW is the only way to go.

Guess I'll try working some magic with photoshop.

Messed around with photoshop at the most basic level, following some instructions I found on youtube... World of difference!
