Hi to all,

These are some of my images taken with a570 in Montenegro few days ago. Your comments are most welcome.

Thanks.

Turning the pictures would be a good starter ;)

Did you use an externa flash or light?

Comment on the last picture, point of focus is good but there are "undesired" things in front of the subject. get closer so the subject fills most of the picture.

Hello Maarten,

The images were not modified or changed in any way. All of them were made only with internal flash, camera set on auto-u/w mode. (Canon housing, depths up to 27m). The last image of the fish was taken when she escaped to narrow cavern /hole, then stretching my hand…

Here are few other shots slightly modified in ACDSee.

Thanks for your comments.

I like them. I have a feeling they aren't your first U/W pictures, eh.
It looks like you may not have the flash diffuser on, based on a few of the shadows you have. That fish in the overhang looks like the camera was upside down.
Only other thing I would recommend is to crop some of the pictures a bit.
Looking good though!

Hi Frenk, as mentioned in some of my previous replies I was trying to make decent photos with my S&S MX10/YS40a for two years and then I gave up. These r my first time photos with digital camera and my new a570is. The fish in a hole was taken upside down and it was hard to make this photo. Thanks for the tips.

with your 570 doess yours eat batteries like mine does?

I bought Heitech - NiMH AA 2600 mAh batteries and a charger. After charging/formatting them for 18 hours, I could make around 110 images (les then half with flash) before the camera notifies low battery.

And few more :)

I would like to add my recent experience in the Keys. Based on many hours of reading in this forum, I purchased the A570IS. I bought a 4 gig card and installed chdk, I downloaded Picasa2 as well.

For batteries, I used Energizer rechargeable 2450 mAh. They had 70% juice remaining after two dives (approx. 60 shots) and 7 minutes of video. I did have the flash dialed down a notch.

This is my first attempt at underwater photography and I have sooo much to learn.

Hat tip/beer raise to Nimrod and Alcina for all the info and everyone else.
