Thanks to the nice people here and those over in the fins. masks & snorkels forum I knew enough to go look for Scubapro Jet fins on ebay when I proably would have bought something else, and because of their long life, used ones are what I have comeing.
BTW, Mudhog is the name of a company that built hydrolic drive rear assist axles for grain combines. Seeing as most of the local diving would be in creeks and little silt bottom lakes is seemed a good fit for me.
I have not taken a class yet in scuba, scads of swimming and lifesaving classes plus vacations as a kid always included a lotta lake swimming and snorkeling.
I'm looking into taking classes at the local YMCA if they still offer them.
I am a fourth generation farmer with tool & die training as well, single and 45.
