Yeah, I'm sure this isn't so interesting to everybody with a lot of experience. But, I just did my first two OW dives last Saturday. It was really sweet, and there are a lot of differences from the pool! We went out in Puget Sound where the water had warmed up to a balmy 53F at the surface. I decided to go the drysuit route and was toasty warm the entire time, through the surface interval to the end of the second dive.

Can't wait for next week!

Its always interesting to hear of somebody doing their first ow dives. Congrats and welcome to the addiction

Snorman, Welcome and Congrats...Hope you enjoy the next two dives

Hey I'm only ahead of you by a couple weeks. Glad you enjoyed the first two, come back and tell us how the rest of it went.

Sure it's interesting. Nobody ever forgets their first time.
And it never gets old.
Just like sex.

Congratulations! Welcome to diving! When I first started diving I adopted the attitude of "every dive is practice for the next dive." That helps to make every dive very special and helps me always strive to improve my bouyancy, air consumption, navigation skills, etc, etc...

Welcome to a whole new toy store!

Congrats!

Welcome to the cold pea soup! And to continue the sex metaphor, it only gets better as you get better at it . . . :)
