Had a awesome days diving today at Julian Rocks, Byron Bay. First dive I encountered more Leopard Sharks than I have ever seen out there. Must have been 20+. Vis was 25m+ and 26c water temp.

Second Dive I Hugo's Trench there was so much happening with lots of leopard Sharks, Bull Rays, Eagle Rays, Loggerhead Turtles.

But most of important of all was chance to dive with the First Manta for the year.

Got very close to the animal as you can see as all the shots are taken at 10mm.

Those are such beautiful animals, I had seen one off Molokini as well as off the bloody bay wall Little Cayman and dove with 13 off the Big Island on a night dive. I can't describe the feeling that you have when you are within touching distance of an animal that is 10 to 15 ft. across its wings and yet it's a somewhat gentle animal.
