Well I finally talked my son into braving the cold with me (we dive wet) and we went down to the ramp at Blockhouse to see if we could stand the cold. I have been dieing to get back in the water, but my son tends to feel the cold more than me (I have an unfair advantage due to personal insulation). Anyway we managed an 18 minute check out dive to a max of 35 feet. Not much to see & the vis was not very good, but it was great to get back in the water. It was defintely cold on the exposed parts of my face but otherwise I was OK. the worst part was getting changed outside in that cold rain!

BTW - that is the first time I have used the ramp (usually go in from the rocks closer to Ferry st.) and it is terrible, the ramp is slippery and its hard to get in and out easily. I'm definitely going back to the rocks in the future.

Safe Diving

OD and I were going to dive Sunday in Barrie until we woke up and heard the thunder and saw lightening. Didn't want to become fish food. LOL I think we are going to try to do Marmora this coming weekend, weather permitting.

artw, Under_Michael and I went out to the Lillie Parsons on Saturday. We got the boat out to Sparrow island just before the storm hit - Art unloaded the gear from the boat while Michael and I erected a camp shelter. We waited out the brief squall then had two great dives.

artw, air_miser, DrownedRat and I did the Lillie Parsons again on Sunday. We didn't need a shelter this time. Although there was a little bit of wind and rain as we were gearing up it settled down nicely to a steady breeze and slight chop. We did another nice drifty dive - this time I got to see some of the Wall, too!

That was a great day. Nice boat ride, and a sweet deep drift :-) He Art, where are the pics from Sunday?
