I was looking to buy a cheap first light, I don't plan on doing night dives yet just a bit of extra light in the quarry. I was wondering if this light Princeton Tec Tec 40 Halogen Dive Light would be decent for this role? or if anyone had any recommendations on a pretty cheap first light?

Thanks,

The UK SL4 and the slightly larger SL6 are excellent lights. Another suggestion would be from the Pelican line. They make several good, simple dive lights that carry a lifetime warranty, no questions asked, at very reasonable prices. I currently have the Nemo 4300 as a primary and the smaller sabre light as a backup.
