I especially like the French Angel.
Check your album as it appears you posted the same photo twice. If you post a photo under a particular category it will also show in your personal album.

I like the French Angel shot too. I also noticed that when I posted a photo and was prompted by the program to name an optional other category for placement of the photo, the photo cloned in the member's gallery. Webmaster or moderators, any way to fix this other than to manually delete???

These are great pics ... do you use a strobe?

All the shots were taken with the internal flash (no external strobe). The housing has a diffuser screen (removable) that really helps for macros. I have not played much yet with the flash settings, but it seems like the auto mode is doing a decent job.

Thanks for the tip about the duplicate pics, I'm on my way to fix it.

Mioplamo...i have the Canon A70 which i just purchased the housing for and will be using it in 2 weeks in the Keys also. Now did you use the internal flash with the diffuser removed at all times or did you keep the diffuser on??? any info. would be greatly appreciated.

I also just got the A70 and the housing, but have not yet gotten it wet and I had the same questions about the flash.

I am going to take the camera and housing dry caving and will be playing with the flash in there as well.

Do you kno wwhat external strobe you can get for this camera and housing? I read somewhere that you can get one for it.

Wendy you could use the Ikelite DS50..it fits the Canon A70. I don't have the strobe for it..as you already know. It goes for $400 Ouch.....but, ya i found that that is the one for our cameras.

I would definitely recommend using the diffuser (especially when shooting macros) and change the settings for flash strength if you want to increase or decrease the light intensity.

There's a couple that will work, but as noted above, they cost as much and more than your whole setup.

I just acquired a Sealife SL960 that I'm going to try out soon. It fires as a slave off the internal flash using sensors in the bottom of the housing. I cutout a piece of dark plastic to insert into the diffuser holder to block out the internal flash.

It was $159 at Diver's Direct, plus I had a $20 Rewards Certificate that I used. If it doesn't work I can always ebay it and chalk it up to experience. If it does work - even better! :)
