Finding a buddy for a specific dive?

I've seen the buddy finder, which is great for finding folks near me who dive. But I was wondering what's the best way to find a buddy for a specific dive trip, for example: who wants to go diving in Carmel this Saturday?

I could IM all 160 people nearby to see if they're interested, but there MUST be a better way...help?
