Well, it took three tries and a trip from Portland, Oregon to Key Largo, but I completed my OW certification, as well as Nitrox and drysuit. I'm ready for more practice diving in cold water here at home.
Thanks to everyone at Scubaboard for your advice and encouragement. Especially thanks to Lynne and Peter for working with me and for the excellent referral to Dive with Elena in Key Largo.
For anyone who needs some extra assistance or just wants to do some really fun warm-water diving, I can't recommend Elena and Pete at Dive with Elena more highly. They are wonderful teachers. Go dive with them!

congrats to you....now dive dive dive.

Nice RJH...try out Cove 2. I really like it there. Nice and easy place to dive to get more experience and some cool stuff to see as well.

Few people have the determination you have -- congratulations! When you want to give Puget Sound another try, please get in touch.

Busy for the next few weeks, but will definately get in touch for some cold water diving with you. Thanks!

Congrats!
We kid my gf Colleen that it took her 5 years, in 5 different countries to earn her OW, but she stuck with it.
Sometimes a person has to overcome more obstacles than others, to reach the same goal, but when they do reach that goal there is no doubt that they both wanted, and earned it!

Pfff drysuits are for cowards!!!!
Just kidding I can't afford one :(
Hoping I can buy one next year
Congrats on the cert and keep on diving
