After great input from folks on this board, I purchased a Cannon S-100 (a few months before the S-110), a FIX housing, a sola video light and a D-1 strobe. We just got back from the Maldives and, by the end of my trip, I was almost in command of my camera...almost. A few more trips might do it. My only regret was not doing custom white balance which I will work on during our next trip in February. Since I was dealing with so many new components, doing custom white balance put me over the edge. Anyway, I had fun playing in Manual and trying different settings. I'd like to thank everyone who answered my questions and provided great feedback during my research. This set up works for me and that's really all that matters, right?

Some pics to share:

I had one for the trip, but it's a long and dumb story why it wasn't on my camera that morning. Boy, do I wish I did. Interceptor, your advice over many replies to my questions played a big part in what I choose and how I used it. Thanks, again!

Rob.

Wow, you shot a mantis shrimp, that's cool!

Can't wait to get my S100 rig wet. I'm stuck on land for another week or two.
