Any recommendations for a LIGHT (probably plastic) fin that could be used for some numpty diving (warm water, single cylinder only) that still works for all kicks? Ideally something that could take some spring straps. Just sick of the weight / space taken up with the Jets / Turtles when traveling for easy diving.

Thanks.

Either the Extra Force fins or the Excellerating Force Fins would be ideal. They flutter kick much more efficiently and faster than jets, they weigh less by far....they reverse kick much better also...
If you race your evil twin at Frog kick, the Jets have a slightly large surface area for the kind of "push" you use for frog kicks, so the evil twin wearing the jets will win, but not by a huge margin....Normally, frog kicking divers are not racing though.
For modified flutter, or flutter, or dolphin kick, helicopter, you name it, these 2 models of Force Fins are far faster and more efficient than Jets.... these are high tech fins that need to be tried --you need to demo them and experience the difference.... Someone in you community should be able to let you try a pair.

Anyone visiting Palm Beach can try a pair of mine.

OMS Slipstreams will be re-released in a month, come with spring straps and are significantly lighter. Hog Tech 2's are the same as the UTD Precision Neutral fins and aren't bad. Dive Rite XT's are fantastic albeit a bit long for air travel. Lots of options.

I like my Hollis F2 because I don't need the weight or power of Jets for the kind of diving I do. They're compact for travel. My wife uses Hog Tech 2 because she needs slightly heavier fins, but not as heavy as Jets. They are almost as compact as the Hollis F2. Both the Hollis F2 and Hog Tech 2 are rubber, though, so not as light as plastic--I know nothing about plastic fins. Neither of us has any problem with frog, flutter or back kicks or helicoptering.

Mares Quattros, open heel. You can get springs that go on the round nubs.
The sides of the fin have a similar profile to the jet fin, the sides are stiff enough to not flop around during non-flutter fin kicks.
Not heavy enough for drysuit/thick wetsuit diving, but great on the luggage weight to warm places.

OMS Slipstreams.
