Sometimes when I have the filter down the camera will not record. Would anyone know why this happens? Anyone have any suggestions?

What housing?
 
I am currently using a Blue Fin SR-12 housing. I had the same thing happen to me in FL. Would it possibly be with the sittings on the camera? I might contact Light and Motion.
