Hi,

i just got my hands on SpareAir unit, but i have problem with it.

I have 18L/ 232 bar cylinder but it doesn´t fil up the Spareair. I hold it like two minutes on, but that pin never moves and when i tried i just got 5 breaths from it. When attached then basicly all the air comes out from the yoke adapter, it whispers with high pressure sound loudly. Is my cylinder bar level too low to fill Spareair or should there be some rubber ring on the yoke adapter?- Or what am i doing wrong?- At first i´m opening the cylinder valve slowly and then on the half way, but all it does is making ice on the cylinder valve while bursting air out of the adapter with loud sound. I tried to attach it tight as i can but still hopless...

The adapter has a ring around it. Inside the ring is a cam surface that pushes in on a little plastic piece that closes the bleed. If you don't turn the ring to push the plastic in with the cam it leaks. If you don't turn the ring to open the the bleed after filling it will blow the o-ring out when you disconnect the bottle. If the ring can't be turned it is corroded and will not be easy to disassemble. Experience speaking. These should be disassembled when new and lubed with silicone grease as a tiny amount of salt water will corrode them together.

Any chance you would have diagram about the adapter?

I made an video about it. Sound quality is bad but it leaked from the start already when i just opened the valve by few millimeters.

Isnt that a din valve on the 18L?
I couldn't see a yoke insert in it... are you putting a yoke on a din valve?

i think you need to put an insert in the tank valve
your tank is DIN (internal thread)
the spare air is a Yoke (O ring in valve)
you need to get an insert

May I suggest that since you have a scuba tank with an H valve that a better and cheaper solution is available to you?
