Had a great trip on the Nai'a, fantastic boat. Taken with the Sony RX100, 2xS&S D1 strobes, Inon H100 WA Lens/Dome, Subsea diopter, Nauticam housing.

Nice shots. The last one showed off the camera best, with sharpness edge to edge and no blown out detail. Did you feel that the macro was a liability as some have stated, or can it be cleaned up easily with a diopter?

More pictures??? 10 days in Fiji, new camera, 32g memory card = more photos!

As I mentioned in the review thread, I guess I was seeing if this camera could replace my DSLR :dork2: I think it is close, for fish portrait - wide angle I believe it can give the big boys a run for their money. Sure if you are doing wall size prints or submitting stuff to The National Geographic than it might fall short but how many of us are really doing that? I am "ruined" by 60mm & 105mm lenses with diopters and shooting the eyes of the pygmy seahorse...IMHO you can shoot decent macro with this camera but not DSLR level and not Super Macro. If you love macro, are shooting a DSLR than you are stuck but for everyone else this is a great option. It will be with me everywhere I go.

This guy was Tiny, 3mm or so, this is a 50% crop, the advantage of 20 megapixel sensor

Amazing photos here and on your site. If you don't mind sharing, what lens and settings used on this last photo? For the RX100 are you typically shooting in manual? Thanks for posting these.

Thank you, can't go wrong with subjects like this. I come from the Nikon world so TTL was never an option so all my shots are in Manual, and that is easy with the Sony and Nauticam. The above shot was taken with the Inon H100 but not sure if I had the dome on or not, leaning to H100 solo. Settings were ISO 200, f/4, SS160, two S&S YS-D1s with 100 diffusers at 60% power.
