Beqa lagoon Resort, the leading dive resort in Fiji, is looking for an experienced dive manager responsible for the day-to-day running of our dive centre(not just an instructor). If you don’t meet our requirements, please do NOT apply for this job. Thank you.

Languages: we expect that you can communicate effectively in English. This means, you are comfortable speaking to customers and teaching in English. Other languages with English is also great.

Requirements:
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

• At least 5 years’ experience working in a dive centre, with at least 2-year experience in a management position – best if it has been in Fiji.
  
  
• A good understanding of the bio diversity of Fijian waters an advantage.
  
  
• People who enjoy working in a busy, energetic dive centre with lots of interaction.
  
  
• Ability to manage and lead a local team of up to 20 staff members. By manage, we mean that while we expect you to delegate responsibilities, financially efficient human resources skills including rostering dive, boats, and shop, and leading by example is expected of the successful candidate.
  
  
• Ability to motivate your team, give performance feedback when necessary, hold meetings to make sure that concerns and issues are dealt with openly and as soon as possible. Highest levels of professionalism always – at the dive centre, on the dive boat, underwater.
  
  
• Ability to rank the needs of the business along with a certain level of maturity. We want people who are serious about their work, but can also bring a fun and friendly attitude to our customers, and the dive team.
  
  
• Understanding and facilitating social media platforms for promotional aspects of Beqa Lagoon Resort Dive.
  
  
• Experienced photographer/videographer is a big plus
  
  
• Experience with shark handling is a plus
  
  
• People who are organized, clean, efficient and punctual. We run a very busy operation here which requires a high level of organization to run smoothly.
  
  
• You must have a lot of energy as the days can be long here, and days off will depend entirely on how busy we are, which varies throughout the season.
  
  
• Equipment maintenance skills/ knowledge is an absolute.
  

Please note, you may not be diving every day in this position. There will be days where you may be needed to guide or teach, but your primary role is management.

You need to be able to work closely with another manager. The dive centre should never be without a manager inside and during the day one of you will be on the boat. You will share your time between shop and boat.
