Favorite video of 2009 ?

My local UW Photo/Video club's theme this upcoming month is "Your Favorite Photo/Video of 2009".

So with that intro, how about everyone show or link their favorites of 2009 ? Let's also open it up that it doesn't have to be made by you and favorite doesn't necessarily mean best, it's just your favorite for whatever reason.

I'll start. An award winning video by Terry Maas.

That's one of those amazing videos, where you'd give your eyeteeth to have been there.

Here's my favorite from the year. (Don't know how to embed it . . . ) It's not anywhere near as exciting as the first one, but it's me, and it was done as a gift from a new and now very valued friend, and that made it very special.

You beat me to it Ron! No doubt that was an amazing video. I have watched it several times. Maybe I can come up with my second favorite. Actually, if I can find the link, I know of one. Let me look.

Thanks for the plug Robin. I'm a fan of Roger Uzan too. The narration in his video was really good. I have to do more of that in my vids.

My favorite video from last year has to be the one I shot on USS Tarpon in June, 2009. The day and weather were perfect, the water almost 80 degrees and when we dropped into the ocean off Hatteras you could see the Tarpon laying on the sand bottom 140 FT below. Visibility exceeded 200 FT, easy. Check out the shark field off the end of the sub, halfway through.

What really made this video special, however, was that the daughter of a WWII crew member of the sub saw it and asked for a DVD copy for her father. When her dad saw the video, he couldn't believe he was seeing his old sub that he had served on so many years ago...

The Star of Scotland was 49-53F, but that's tropical for Vancouver.
