Hey TF is nothing to Sniff at!

Don't drink carbonated beverages, just before a dive.
They stop fizzing under pressure and then resume when you return to the surface.

Most people have an overpressure valve, and your intestines can handle a bit more pressure than your lungs.
 
In the event of abdominal pain on ascent you might want to make an extended safety stop to let the gas vent.

It is trapped/unvented gas within the body that poses a threat to the diver.

Given an anatomically & physiologically normal intestinal tract, this should not be a concern.
