I know this is going to sound kinda dumb *** but do you have farm divers ?

How many farms are there state side as we never hear about lice and such being a problem down south. ?

If you do have farms who takes care of the divers and what type of regs do you have ?
I had to re name it as the name fish Farms moved it to non diver related topics which I think this is diver related.

Cheers

What the HECK are you talking about ???????????

Fish farms you know farming of the fish on floating farms :D And what type of regulations do your farm divers dive with ? And what type of insurance do they have ?

It's outside of the sport catagory so it takes a lot more training, there are a lot more rules and insurance will be based on the area and they type of diving.

Bottom line, expensive.

You guys up north have farms underwater? I thought Canada had lots of space...

How in the heck do you get a John Deere to run at 3 ATA?

Big *** stacks as they are all diesel. The problem is the viss it gets very bad. Also you keep getting that long hose caught and it really makes a mess of the binder. :D

Alright then I guess it was a bad question. I have never heard of any farms south of the border so thats why I asked. And many of the responses in the past have been by non farm divers.

If it is so common then do you have a regulatory body that takes care of the farms ?
Bottom line, expensive.
The farm or diving equipment ?

You want to see the vis go away quick be around when a three bottom smacks the dirt. :D

Good point, Gary! or maybe three....<ahem>

I would imagine that the state regulatory would have some information on the requirements. Good question though. Seems like a niche market. Hope you find the info you are looking for and not floundering around.... :D

Don't kid yourself, lice is a big problem in some parts down here. They don't seem to bother the fish though.. :007:

There is an oyster farm on San Juan Island (Wescott Bay). Don't know if they do much diving though...
