Honestly, it was a cost vs. reward decision for me. In my perfect world I would have bought a housing for my A7ii, along with the necessary ports and the confidence to replace the camera if it flooded. In reality though, I was able to build a really nice compact setup, complete with the widely acclaimed nauticam WWL-1 and YS-D2 strobes and arms, for what it would have cost me for the A7ii housing alone. Plus I'm really happy with how small the whole package breaks down for travel. No lenses or ports to worry about, and I can easily get everything into a large camera backpack.
