I would share with my fellow public safety divers the modern technological twist we have Inc. into our public-relations profile

Isanti County Dive Team

we are a strictly volunteer dive team. We provide all of our own personal dive equipment. As our team grows, we are continuing to expand our training and equipment. The implementation of a Facebook page helps the citizens of our County see who we are and what we do. It is also a great intro for fundraisers that we are planning in the near future. So far it has been a great way for the citizens and other county organizations to see who we are and what we do.

Oneshotshooter,
I happen to like the Isanti County Dive Team as well!
Keep up the good work.

thanks blades. It has been a great way to show the public what we do. It is also help to show them the areas that we have used the side scan sonar in that we got from you. That was the best investment we have made so far. Now that the ice is finally off I can't wait to get out and use it again.

We also have done the same, we are not just a dive team but a technical rescue team. Visit our page! and website technicalrescueteam.com. Thanks! Isanti really like the dive logo looking to do our own dive logo soon!

Has anyone had any negative impact from a Facebook page or other social media outlet? Our county dive team started a page but is getting a lot of resistance from some member departments. Some have gone as far as getting attorneys involved. What have your experiences been, positive or negative? Thanks

Nothing negative yet for ours either: Midwest Technical Recovery Team (MTRT) | Facebook. I had it setup as a group, but then Facebook was going to discontinue that, so I setup a page, then they upgraded the Group so now we have both lol. Might still close the group to the public and keep it as a communication section for JUST our team. Been using the facebook to try and get our name out there some more. We are also a volunteer organization and specialize in deep technical recoveries. Not sure if it has worked at all though. The page is fairly new, hence the small number of likes thus far. Kind of irritating fact though, trying to even get our members from the Group to like it to get the numbers up hasn't worked... In time I am sure all the work will pay off though. So what do you guys think of it? Best of luck to you all with everything.
