Does anybody have the actual manufacturer recommended torque specs for the valve installation on a faber lp 85.

About three good smacks with a rubber mallet? :)

I bought a big enough Crescent wrench - maybe a 15"er from Sears at Ala Moana on Oahu and probably used it on couple of thousand tanks in the intervening decades. I've had to use a rubber mallet to loosen a bunch that I had not previously inspected, but I never used one to close a valve. I just hand-tighten, then put the wrench on the post horizontally, snug it up nice, and then one mild whack with my palm. I never heard of any torque values for a scuba tank- I'm not sure how one would set up a rig like that.
Good luck, though, in your pursuit of precision. I also hope to whatever God(s) you pray to that you never run into a real candiru.

When i went through the o2 cleaning course. The general concensus was if you have to use a tool it is too tight. When you put on the valve hit it once with you palm and fill the tank.
