f69 wreck broken in two

the new wreck the f69 or the wellington,sunk late last year has broken in two ,after 10mtr swells lashed the coast of wellington,nz.there is now a 200mtr no dive zone around the wreck until police divers have checked it out and declared it safe.
 
Not surprising! My guess is that it's probably broken the same place as the Waikato, just in front of the bridge?

Dived the Waikato with someone who used to serve on it, they're bunk was right next to where the ship had broken - apparently it used to creak and groan like a ******* in heavy seas.

Probably didn't help that it was in such shallow water, either.
 
Yes they say the break is the same as the Waikato's, but I did hear that it is in 3. The bow is on its side and the stern still upright, not sure about the third bit!

Dived it a couple of days after the orignial sinking and thought that this was inevitable.. It was sunk much too shallow (and shallower than what they said they were going to do).
Looks like they are trying to put a semi positive spin on things still
