Tech divers make a big deal of carrying a second mask -- often on their necks, so if the primary mask falls off, the secondary can be pushed up into place. Why not make a chin strap out of surgical tubing and tie it to the strap posts? It will prevent the mask from coming off, and if the mask strap breaks (which is much less likely), you just move the tubing from your chin to the back of your head.
