I'm thinking of buying this housing from Henry's. For those of you who own one, is it worth paying the extra cash for an extended warranty or is it just another cash grab? I can imagine being told 'your warranty is invalid because you got it wet!!!!"

So what do you think? Stick to the 1 year canon warranty or pay the extra?

Thanks.

Canon has no warranty worth speaking of on their housings, if memory serves. It's up to you how important it is. If there IS a warranty, it's only going to cover the housing, not the dead, wet camera inside the failed housing.

I would save your money and get gear insurance from DAN or DEPP instead.

Exactly, CompuDude is right on here.

Forget about the extended warranty and get the insurance :).
