I just don't log dives
Saturday morning winds are greater than the forecast of 30 knots with gusts to 40, generally from the south. Seas are 3+ meters.

The PLS airport has been closed for two days - we were on the last arriving flight last Wednesday.

The island suffered high winds, heavy rain, spotty loss of power - everyone safe.

Local dive ops have canceled until Monday

We are facing north and there are large breakers on the reef.

It will be interesting to see what EV does with their guests on the island, those hopefully arriving today, and the departure.

I suspect they have a BBQ planned dockside

Diving? Not so sure

So sorry to hear of the bad weather but glad that everyone is safe. I know that you went there to dive but Provo is a lovely island and of course it is better to play it safe in a bad storm. I hope things calm down and you will be able to get some good dives.

The Bahamas have been hit hard and the Coast Guard is searching for a missing US container ship that was reported to be in distress in the Bahamas.

We will also be watching the weather as the time gets closer for our trip to the Caymans later this month.

Good luck!

Cert1967,How did it go?I took an EV trip the week after hurricane Sandy blew by on its way to New Jersey. It left the reefs all sanded up, looked like dusting of snow. Vis suffered, but was still very good.

Chilly...nice quote from Lynn.
