I went to Southern Leyte as a diver and met three people who were volunteering with them. They spoke extremely highly of the organization , did lots and lots of diving and had a wonderful time. The accomodation is fairly simple they said, but I would highly recommend this area of the Philippines for diving. Dive guides I spoke to also spoke very highly of marine NGOs in the area and how they are working. For example whaleshark tourism is of huge importance the the country , but nobody knows how many there are , where they go to and come from etc. etc. This is in contrast to some lion prides in Africa who have their own Facebook page !

I hope this helps a bit ..and good luck.
