I just don't log dives
Lately I've noticed that when I select a forum topic, say a posting in the Cozumel forum, a new browser tab opens with the selected post and the original browser tab changes to the Expedia web site with listings for Cozumel. I've been visiting this web site for years and do not recall this happening in the past. Has anyone else noticed this occurring?

I am uncertain as to why this is happening. I've recently replaced my computer and it came preloaded with many applications for which I have no use, I've tried to remove as many as possible but some likely remain. I can't tell if this is being caused by my an application on my new computer or if it is being caused by this web site. If it's this web site I'm fine with that, but if it's being caused by an application on my computer I'd like to know. For reference I'm using the Windows 11 operating system and this occurs with both the Chrome and Edge browsers.

It's you.

Brave Browser, Windows 10 does not generate that sort of behavior for me.

I have not had that happen.

It happened to me for a day or two this week. It's kind of annoying, but I close out the Expedia tab and continue with my browsing. I use Firefox on my laptop.

Thank you for replying Allen-1, Capt Jim Wyatt , and Cornbread O'Malley (like your icon). It seems this browser behavior is not happening to all but it is reassuring to know it's not just happening to me. Annoying, yes. A significant issue, no.

Not happening to me using firefox on a windows 11 machine.

It did happen to me when replying to a post this past weekend. I am using Chrome.

Check your plugins. That sounds like the behavior of a sketchy adware plugin that's scraping what you're doing and trying to direct you to another site for revenue.

No plugins or extensions, appears to be site specific.
