Sharper Watch Company offer life treasured timepieces of precision quality and accuracy that are highly fashionable and meet with today's demands. Amongst others, we manufacture and supply the executive SexPro-Dive®™ range of wrist watch for Professional Divers. Our watches have been developed with both fashion and practical use in mind.

There are alot of so called divers watches out there that would not last 2 seconds. I remember years ago buying one from a very well known outlet / brand that in a few months it started to corrode at the back after dipping in the sea a few times and then I ended up getting a terrible rash. It turns out that it was the nickel content that caused all the problems. I have had other well known true diver branded watches but did not like the folded construction of the bracelet links.

Strange that a large retail outlet sold me a nickel content watch. It shocked me to think how many more well known retail outlets sold watches that may have nickel content in them and how many others have been affected by the allergy to nickel. <<caution>> Make sure that you get the best in quality particularly for constant use in wet conditions or even through hot sticky environments, nickel rash has got to be the worse experience I have had and there are plenty out there. Take a look at our range, all solid surgical grade stainless steel with zero nickel content. (broadband connection recommended)sharper watches.com

Anyway, we are now on our way to certification and have read the diving board with interest. Hope to be back soon to check out the updates and review the other sections for the recommended places to have a good dive.

We are seeking a pro underwater photographer, please get in touch as we are sure we have an offer to interest you.

So how much? (Couldn't find the prices on the website {maintence issues I presume})

Side note: Surgical Grade Stainless Steel is a very low quality SS, used for disposable use and mass production.

Note to Note: The website says solid stainless though.

Hi MilitantMedic,

Yes I am glad that you have pointed this fact out since our watches comprise of what is known as duplex grade stainless steel, a combination of Austenitic and Ferritic grades of stainless and we also use 317 in others having insignificant amounts of Ni far below the UK law requires, as you mention surgical stainless steel can be considered to be low grade stainless and usually martensitic grade 410 or 440C for very high hardness, some say surgical instruments are made from 304 and others say 316, but as we are not specialists in the manufacture of medical instruments, we shall leave that to those in the medical manufacturing industry.

Indeed 316 grade stainless steel is known as the common grade of stainless for use in sea / marine environments, although many do not know this and considering there are are a significant quantity of different grades of stainless steel around, it is no wonder.

It is a common fact that most people recognise that surgical steel would assume a good high grade of stainless steel and is used by many as descriptive marketing for the purposes of reinforcing an opinion of quality to those who are not metallurgists.

A most significant contribution to the fight against corrosion offshore has been made by duplex stainless steels. These have often been adopted on offshore structures in preference to carbon steel or other stainless steels. The value of the duplex stainless steel is that it combines the basic toughness of the more common austenitic stainless steels with the higher strength and improved corrosion resistance of ferritic steels. The optimum chemical composition of these steels provides a high level of corrosion resistance in chloride media together with high mechanical strength and ductility. Other benefits include the ability of some duplex stainless steels to be used at quite low sub-zero temperatures and be able to resist stress corrosion cracking.

Prices are on the web site www.sharperwatches.com, the product above is only on the multimedia flash site, as it is a new introduction to our professional diving range and will appear shortly on the html site for those with slower connection speeds.

The "maintence" issues to which you are presuming, we assume derives from default MAINTENANCE page that is displayed, when either a page does not exist or the user has entered the incorrect web address.

Trusting this has answered your queries for you and others.

Sex sells silly

Yeah still not so big on the idea of my watch saying SEX in big bold letters.

Yeah it took me about 10 mins to find an "order form" where it's like 400 pounds (like $900 USD). Too sketchy for me. I'll wait for my Omega Seamaster.

Unless Sharper Watches wants to give this Watch Connosieur and reputable Scuba Board Member a free watch to evaluate, it's no problem really guys I'll take one for the team.

What are the "Units Per Hour" measuring? Again, why have the watch named Sex (other than sex sells)? Maybe (s)he should try pushing that watch on a not-so-family-friendly type board instead! How can an non-certified person know what elements to incorporate into a "better" dive watch?

900 BUCKS!! I'll wait thanks especially for something I've NEVER heard of. My 200 dollar Pulsar(SEIKO) diver's 200 meter with the three year warranty works just fine. That includes an unlimited warranty from my jeweler. That's right unlimited, if the band breaks they fix it,if I scratch the crystal, they fix it, the only thing not covered is loss or theft. And Ican renew it every three years for about 12 bucks. Anthing more than this I'll wait for my breitling. It's good to 15,000 ft depth. I know ,I know but hey it may look real good on my newt suit(yeah right!!)
