Hello everyone, I’m hoping to get some recommendations on wing size. I know there is a lot of discussion on wing size in other threads/posts but none are specific to my gear configuration so here goes. I’ve been diving dry with a Halcyon Eclipse 40lb for quite a few years now and absolutely love it. To date I’ve been doing mostly NJ wreck diving using single HP Steel 119s, 120s, and 130s. I just picked up a set of doubled HP Steel 100s and have pretty much made up my mind on a Halcyon Evolve wing, but just not sure if the 40lb version is enough. I’m pretty sure it would be adequate for just those tanks, but after adding a stage or two, and a deco bottle, canister light, etc… I’m thinking I’d start to approach a situation where I may not have enough lift. Obviously a 60lb would be enough lift, but if it wasn’t necessary, I would rather not have it. Basically, does anyone dive a set of HP Steel 100s with a Evolve 40lb or 60lb and could provide some input. Thank you so much…

I dive dry with doubled 100's and an Evolve 40. I always dive that rig with a 21 watt HID can light and have slung a single al40 deco bottle on occassion. It has always worked for me. Never wanted or needed more wing.

YMMV
