Good evening everyone. I'm in for the night, kicking it on the balcony with the laptop charged on a full battery(gotta luv wireless). What shall we talk about. Yes, there's the diving. Always a good topic. There's politics, and war, and terrorism, nah, all a downer. I'm in a pleasant mood now. Just chatting with friends sounds more the speed. I've been relaxing with a Captain Morgan friend of mine. I'm not sure what he's a captain of. He kind of looks like a pirate. Ah, but a nice pirate he is, and good at making me see the beauty of the ocean. The water looks nice tonight, and there's a subtle breeze. The aroma of coconut is in the air, or at least on my tongue. The only thing that would make this evening nicer is the company of a fellow diver. You see, Captain Morgan can't dive, let alone talk about diving. He's great company, but somehow I still feel lonely. Ah, but sitting and relaxing alone doesn't really seem all that bad tonight, for I've got my cyber friends on Scubaboard to chat with about Whine and Cheese and DIR and exotic destinations and all the things that make us the best group of people on this planet.

Cheers, help yourself to the Captain, and have a Merry Christmas!

Well, hoist one on me. Myself, I'll take a Maker's Mark with just a tiny splash of 7 up.

Done. Put er on my tab good chap. Happy holidays. I'll be spending me XMAS days in the town of KCMO. Spent half my life there. Good town. Good people. Not many divers though.

Ahhh, thanks for the drink, just what the doc ordered. KC is well west of O'Fallon. We're about 20 miles west of St Louis.

I'll pour myself a scotch in a short while and raise my glass. Instead of a balcony, I'll be sitting inside in front of the fire. It's "cold" here in Vancouver these days.

Cheers,
Bill.

Lost Love

As I sit here and gaze over the ocean so vast
A whisper on the breeze, brings forth the past

My memories of her seem so removed and distant
In a dream she appears, the emotion is eminent

I can see her now; her beauty profound
Just the way I remembered, our lust did abound

I would cross this sea, it’s waves and it’s storms
To have one last chance at love once scorned

In my dreams I have missed her, I now see
Life has gone on, there is no chance for me

I sit here and gaze over the ocean, dreaming it’s her I see
Pretending she's on the other side, doing the same for me
