Can anyone suggest the better housing or your which you prefer.
Both the Equinox HD 6 and Ikelite 6071 seem very good, however, the Equinox seems to have a better range of accessories.
Any suggestions and what accessories are needed would be handy.
I would like to use it for filming surfing, not diving.
Thanks Chris

thats a tough one!
The Equinox housings are heavy and if you aren't diving, then you are going to be supporting the full weight of it, which may get very tiring very quickly. On the other hand, the Ikelite still weighs 10lbs, about half the Equinox, but the housing needs to use the mirror on outside in order to view the LCD, but the image will be reversed. That will absolutely suck when trying to follow moving objects.

Either way, neither of these of these options would work well for filming surfing, IMHO.

When we do a housing that is specifically for surfing we can replace the lead handles with plastic handles and that will lighten the housing about 5-6lbs. With the HV30 I would recommend our rear mounted LCD monitor as well. You are looking at 11-13lbs with the plastic handles. Let me know if I can help you out.
