I have been diving for a little over a year now, I have never been able to equalize when I dive, the same usually occurs when I fly as well. I usually keep trying to clear, and always unable to do so, The pain gets pretty bad and I continue to dive anyway! I have been to my family doctor, 2 ENT's, and a Doctor who specializes in Dive Medicine, none of them can find any reason why this is happening, and as well, they can not explain what is happening! I keep trying to clear while I dive, usually I begin to bleed from my nose, and sometimes it comes from my ears! All the doctors have cleared me to dive and say they can not find any reason why I can't or shouldn't, as well, I do not want to stop! Does anyone know of anything like this happening to anyone else or anything else I can try. I would appreciate serious replies only, I already know that I probably shouldn't dive anymore if I keep experiencing pain, So I don't need to hear from anyone that I should not be diving as I have always wanted to be a scuba diver and now I am finally doing it!

Ok if you cant equalize than you shouldn't be diving!!!!!
a nosebleed is a little common, but bleeding from your ears!!!!
stop before you kill your ears

on another note i cant help thinking that this is some kind of troll:confused:

I don't mean to sound rude but come on, that's just ridiculous. You may not want to hear from anyone telling you what you already know but get real. If your problems are bad enough to make you bleed from your ears than what are you waiting for? I can't believe that any doctor could have cleared you to dive knowing that you bled from your ears. You may want to dive, have to dive but until you can learn what's going on - is it really worth your health? and what about your buddy? You can't help others if you can't help yourself. Your determination is great and I hope you find out what's going on but don't be foolish and learn when to let go. Good luck.

Aquagirl is right. You shouldn't be diving. If you can't clear your ears, how deep can you get? I can't get past 4-5 feet without clearing them atleast once. That must mean you are pushing it. Being a diver, you KNOW that that can cause irreversable damage to your ears. Do you really want to mess them up already?
I too cannot believe that a doctor, especially one that deals with diving medicine would clear you for diving after all of that. Have you told them about bleeding from your ears?
In my opinion, you need to stop untill you find out whats wrong and if you can fix it before you become more of a risk to yourself and your buddy.

Unless you promis not to dive again when not able to clear your ears I would propose for you the following solution:

Take two freshly sharpened pencils. Put m in your ears, point first. Hit them as hard as you can with your fists :bash:. Your problem of not being able to clear you ears is over then.

For a normal diver diving is an extremely rude action performed to a most delicate instrument. I hope you understand you should be damned careful with your ears when diving!

I think that answer is the best fitting for this question.
