Looking for opinions on entry level video lights to go with the JVC picsio that can also double as a dive light. Considering the Ikelite V8, the nocturnal and big blue. Looking for people who actually use one of the these. Thanks in advance !

Thanks nocturnal, visited your website - having a hard time seeing how price point video lights rate one to another. Yours vs Ikelite vs Bigblue looked to be 3 - 5watt LED units ? Any other features that make your unit stand out?

I have used most of these at one time or another. The big blue is quite nice with a bit of a fidgety knob to turn it on and off. Nocturnal makes nice lights but they are wicked heavy. Take a look at the IVIDEO lights from Canada, quite nice, not so expensive ($300) and only 4 AA batteries. Supposedly the new L&M light is quite slick but at $600 quite expensive.

Hi Catskill Diver,

We offer adjustable beam angles from 12, 60, and 90 degrees so for videos you would shoot 60 or 90 degrees. If you wanted to use the light as a dive light you may be able to. Our color temperature is very neutral and our full aluminum housing is known to hold up in the toughest diving conditions. There's a lot of reviews on our lights throughout scubaboard and you can find a lot of great feedback throughout the internet if you typed in Nocturnal Lights reviews. Let me know if you have any questions about anything specific.
