I noticed that on some of the computers the EDT is not on the main screen, but an alternate. Is this not generally considered important enough to have on a main screen?

EDT is easily available on both my Aeris and Sunnto. During the dive the only reason I might care is if I am in an area with shallow reefs and the boat says be back in an hour. Easy to over stay that hour by a bunch otherwise. For NC diving there is not the hour limit but the NDLs and air supply limit my dives to about 45-50 minutes run time.

I suppose if you were an instructor and you wanted to make sure you were making a dive last at least 20 minutes it might be useful, although hopefully you would be diving longer than that.
